BioFreshlyground is a South African Afro-fusion band that was formed in Cape Town in 2002. The band is known for its eclectic sound that combines elements of South African traditional music, jazz, blues, and indie rock.

Freshlyground faced controversy in 2010 when they were banned from performing in Zimbabwe after a music video depicting then Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, in a negative light.
