Bio
Judith Sephuma is a multi-award-winning South African singer, songwriter, and performer whose work has influenced Afro-Jazz for more than two decades. Widely regarded as the “Queen of Afro-Jazz,” she is admired for her rich, soothing voice and her ability to combine jazz, Afro-soul, and gospel into a distinctive sound. Her breakthrough came with the release of "A Cry, A Smile, A Dance" in 2001, a debut album that reached triple-platinum status and introduced her to a broad audience. Sephuma has since released several respected projects, including the platinum-certified live recording "The Experience," as well as "One Word" (2015) and "Power of Dreams" (2019), both reflecting her musical maturity and personal expression. She has appeared on international stages across Europe, the United States, and the United Kingdom, performing alongside artists such as Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, Jonathan Butler, Randy Crawford, Michael Bolton, and Kenny G.
