Aïda Samb,whose birth name doubles as her stage name, is a Senegalese artist with a rich musical heritage from the Toucouleur Gawlo family. She began her musical journey at a young age, eventually becoming a backing vocalist for prominent artists and earning recognition with her feature on Youssou Ndour's "Fekke Ma Ci Boolé." Aïda gained widespread fame with her debut track "What about Me?" in 2009 and launched her first album, "Sarabaa," in 2012, receiving the Best Female Traditional African Music Artist award at the Kora Music Awards. She has collaborated with stars like Wizkid and continues to make her mark in the music industry with tracks like "Yaw Rekk" and "Baadola," as well as the album "Woyalama."
