Gandhi Bilel Djuna, simply called Gims, is a Congolese musician, living in Morocco and France.
He began as a member of Sexion d'Assaut and later embarked on a solo career.
In 2013, his album "Subliminal" sold over a million copies in France and peaked at number two on the chart.
His subsequent albums, "Mon cœur avait raison" and "Ceinture noire", reached number one in France and Belgium (Wallonia) and amongst top 40 in Europe.
Gims has collaborated with international artists, and sold over 5 million records.
He won the International Artist of the Year in the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards in 2020 and performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
A documentary about his career, "Gims On the Record", was released on Netflix in 2020.
