Abdoulaye Nderguet is a Nigerien musician who was born in 1972 in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad. He comes from a mixed ethnic background, with a Sar father and an Arab mother from Salamat. Nderguet grew up in Sarh, the capital of the Moyen-Chari province, where he was exposed to a variety of musical traditions from both the north and south of Chad. His music is said to reflect the diverse cultural influences of his upbringing, incorporating elements of Arab songs from the Chari-Baguirmi region, the rhythms and dances of the Boulala people, and the lullabies and funeral songs of the Sara ethnic group.
