After Zimbabwe gained independence, Chinx formed the group Ilanga, recording impactful chimurenga songs. His music continued to resonate with audiences during Independence Day and Africa Day celebrations. Chinx's contributions were recognized, earning awards for his inspiring songs of the liberation war. Even after his passing in 2017, his legacy lives on, inspiring generations.
