Akbess, mostly known as Abbas Khadim Al Rassoul Akar, is a solo singer and rapper from Senegal. He evolves on the pop scene in the country of Teranga. Love and society are his great sources of inspiration. Born in Rebeuss, in Dakar, to a father of Lebanese origin and a Senegalese mother, the young Abbas grew up in the commune of Parcelles Assainies and made his debut in Senegalese Rap Hip-Hop at the age of 11 with two successful titles. Akbess has released several albums, including Karma (2018), Jëm (2019), and Xar Kanam (2020). He has worked with other artists, like Dip Doundou Guiss, Samba Peuzzi, and Elzo Jamdong. In 2020, he made a splash in Senegal with his title, Gangsta Love.
