Akothee, with birth name Esther Akoth Kokeyo, is a Kenyan musician, singer and successful entrepreneur. She is known for her unique blend of afrobeat, Benga, and Rumba music styles. Akothee started her music career in 2008, and since then, she has released several hit songs, including "Sweet Love," "Yuko Moyoni," and "Baby Daddy." In addition to music, Akothee is also a successful entrepreneur with interests in real estate, hospitality, and fashion. She has won several awards for her music, including the Best Female Artist in East Africa at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in 2016 and 2018.
