André Venter, known professionally as André M.Venter is a South African singer, songwriter, and producer recognised for his expressive blend of Afrikaans and Christian music. Born on 27 December 1976 in Vrede in the Free State, André grew up surrounded by strong community values, faith, and family traditions that shaped his love for music from an early age. His first performances took place in church, where he discovered both his voice and his passion for inspirational songs.
He rose to prominence as a member of the successful vocal group Romanz, contributing to their signature harmonies and wide audience appeal. After the group disbanded in 2014, André took time to refocus his artistic direction and eventually launched his solo career in 2019 with a renewed commitment to faith-driven storytelling.
Today, André continues to write and record songs from his home in Cape Town, where he lives with his wife, Berrie.
