Bio
Anis Jouini is a Tunisian musician who started playing the piano at age eleven and was later trained in classical music at the Tunis National Conservatory. Despite the lack of bass guitar classes at the conservatory, Anis spent years learning classical guitar to capture the basics, and became inspired by artists such as Metallica and funk bass players like Victor Wooten. He started performing professionally with his progressive metal band Propaganda in 1999, and later joined the Tunisian metal band Myrath in 2006 as a composer and bass player. With Myrath, he has achieved international success and toured extensively, and their albums have received global attention and acclaim. Anis continues to innovate and push boundaries in his music, blending Tunisian rhythms with contemporary influences.
