Ard Matthews is the frontman, lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist for the popular South African rock band Just Jinjer. He discovered his innate musicality at a young age, winning a talent contest as a singer when he was just twelve years old. This early success led him to enroll in the Groove Class, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he honed his guitar skills and discovered a voice that would shape the course of his future forever. He has released several solo albums, including "First Offerings" (2012), "Umuntu" (2013), and "Impossible Machines" (2018) the latter of which won the Adult Contemporary Album category in the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) 2019.
