Famous as one of the Afrobeats sensations on the rise, Asake, aka Mr. Money, born Ahmed Ololade, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter known for his fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji Fusion, Afropop, and Amapiano. Inspired by icons like Wizkid and Olamide, he transitioned from dance to music after his undergraduate studies His breakthrough came in 2020 with the hit "Lady" and the chart-topping "Mr. Money" in 2022. Signed to YBNL Nation, he released the EP "Ololade" and his debut album "Mr. Money with the Vibe" in 2022, achieving international success on the Billboard 200. In a short period, Asake has garnered awards, including the Soundcity MVP Awards, the Headies Award, and his first Grammy nomination in 2024 for the single "Amapiano," featuring Olamide.
