Bio
Sulaiman Adio Oladele Oyeneye, famously known as Atawewe or the "Duke of Fuji," has earned a place and stood out in the Fuji music scene. His nickname, meaning "Small Pepper," stems from his lively nature and petite frame, a playful jab from his primary school teacher that stuck. Starting his career at an early age during Ramadan festivities, he gained recognition after winning a "Were" music competition. Despite initial opposition from his father, who was an Apala musician, Sulaimon saw music as his inheritance. His journey hasn’t been without challenges; a 1996 arrest nearly derailed his career. However, he turned the setback into fuel, earning the "Duke of Music" title in 2001. With eight albums and a legacy in progress, Atawewe remains a Fuji icon.
