Bio

Bamba Dembélé was a musician, percussionist, and band leader from Mali, West Africa. He was also the co-founder of the Super Djata Band and founder and leader of Bamba Wassoulou Groove, a group that plays traditional Wassoulou music. Dembélé is a virtuoso player of the kamalen n'goni and is known for his ability to infuse traditional Wassoulou music with contemporary elements. He recorded several albums and singles during his career. Sadly, he passed away in 2018.
