BioBen Nyamabo, with real name Benoit Mutombo Nyamabo, was a Congolese singer, songwriter, and composer.
He was also known as Scarpa Uomo.
Nyamabo began his music career in 1974 as a member of the street bands in Bandalungwa, Kinshasa.
He later joined the Langa Langa Stars in 1982.
He left the Langa Langa Stars and formed his own band, Choc Stars, in 1983 with Bozi Boziana and Roxy Tshimpaka.
Nyamabo’s most popular song is “Riana,” which was released in 1986 and won several awards.
His untimely death in 2019 in Kinshasa left a void in the music world, but his legacy lives on.
Nyamabo's impact on Congolese music continues to inspire aspiring artists, and his songs remain timeless classics.
