Black Coffee, whose birth name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, is a multi-award-winning South African singer, composer, DJ, and CEO of the Soulistic Music record label. Nkosinathi started his music career in 1994 while still in high school and his musical inspirations were from his uncle's reggae album collection which propelled him to study music. He had his musical breakout in 2004 after participating in the Red Bull Music Academy and has since won multiple awards including the prestigious Grammy Awards.
