Terrence William "Blondie" Chaplin is a singer and guitarist from South Africa recognised for his passionate performances. He began his musical career in the 1960s, when he was 13 years old and joined the rock band The Flames. With their album "Soulfire", The Flames rose to prominence in South Africa, capturing the attention of Beach Boy Carl Wilson, who signed them to Brother Records. His famous tune "Sail On, Sailor" features his enthralling voice. After being renamed The Flame, they were the only band other than The Beach Boys to record for the label.
