Bio
Louis Andreas Pepler, also known as Bok van Blerk, is a highly acclaimed singer-songwriter from the Afrikaans community. He first rose to national and international fame in 2006 with his rendition of the song "De la Rey". Prior to this breakthrough, Bok van Blerk had released two successful albums, "Ons Vir Jou" and "Afrikanerhart," which had received praise from the Afrikaans-speaking community in South Africa. However, it was his powerful performance of "De la Rey" that propelled him to mainstream success, as the song became an anthem for many Afrikaners who felt marginalized by the post-apartheid government. Since then, Bok van Blerk has continued to release numerous albums and singles, despite criticism from some who view his music as divisive.
