Bio
KinyaTrap has become one of Rwanda's most recognizable hip-hop styles, and Bushali is widely credited with creating it. Born Jean Paul Hagenimana, the rapper, singer, and songwriter began recording music in 2013, introducing trap music performed in Kinyarwanda to a growing audience. His debut single, "Tabati," marked the beginning of his career, while "Nituebue" in 2018 became a breakthrough hit that brought him national recognition. His discography includes the albums Nyiramubande (2018), Kugasima (2019), !B!HE B!7 (2020), the collaborative EP Kivuruga with Ghanaian Stallion (2021), and FULLMOON (2024). He has also released songs such as "Niyibizi," "Mukwaha," "Muyomba," "Urumiya," "Umwali," "Gun," "Imisaraba," and "ZE ZE ZE." Bushali has collaborated with Bruce Melodie, Ariel Wayz, Kivumbi King, The Ben, Slum Drip, and B-Threy. His work continues to influence Rwanda's rap scene by promoting Kinyarwanda lyricism through a style that has become closely associated with his name.
