BioAntónio Miguel Manuel Francisco, popularly known as Calabeto, is an Angolan musician and singer.
He started his music journey singing religious chants and later formed the musical group "Turma do Trio de Janeiro" with his friends.
In 1962, he joined the musical group "Muzangola" as a vocalist and recorded a successful single.
He continued to pursue his passion for music while serving in the Portuguese Armed Forces, where he was frequently called upon.
Calabeto went on to become the main vocalist of the group "Águas Reais" and won the Festival da Canção de Luanda in 1970.
He recorded a solo album with the "Semba" group and members of the "Kiezos" in 1974, and later joined the Kissangela orchestra until its extinction.
Calabeto remains a top performer.
