Refiloe Maele Phoolo is a South African rapper and songwriter known by the stage name Cassper Nyovest. Nyovest began rapping before his teenage years while he was in school. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue his love for music. Shortly after, he got signed by a record label, but the relationship was short-lived. After several highs and lows, Cassper Nyovest released his debut album, "Tsholofelo", named after his sister. And ever since, his influence in the African music sphere has skyrocketed.
