Catherine Kusasira is one of Uganda’s most enduring female artists, known for her works and firm stage presence. She began her career in 2003 with Eagles Production and built a distinct sound mixing Afro-pop, R&B, and local elements, with hits like Ssi Ddogo, Mr. Handsome, and Wafuuka Bikadde. Her music reflects themes of love, loyalty, and daily realities. A vocal supporter of NRM, she was appointed Presidential Advisor and plans to contest as Buikwe District Woman MP in 2026. She enrolled at Nkumba University in 2022 for International Relations. After heart-related surgery in 2024, she returned stronger and celebrated 20 years in music with The Roots of Catherine Kusasira – Old Is Gold concert in 2025.
