A passion for music showed itself early in Charlize Berg’s life, leading her into formal vocal training at a young age and into the studio before her teenage years were over. Growing up in Centurion, Gauteng, she harnessed her passion, eventually signing with Select Music and stepping into the professional recording space.
Her debut album, "Charlize Berg" (2011), introduced her to the South African pop scene. Her 2016 album, "As Jy Weet Dis Liefde," earned her a Ghoema Award for Best Afrikaans Pop Album
Her music leans on accessible pop writing, often centred on love, personal growth, and faith, delivered through a clear and expressive singing style.
Over time, she expanded her presence through live performances and television appearances, including performing the national anthem at a Springboks match, which brought her wider visibility.
