Chas Smit was a South African lead guitarist and backing vocalist who made significant contributions during the early days of the rock band Plush. Teaming up with bandmate Rory Eliot, they delivered captivating musical performances that rivaled full-band squads. Unfortunately, his promising career was cut short in 2005 when he was hit by a drunk driver.
