Raised in a musical family, with her father being a local Egwu Ekpili musician and traditionalist, her passion for music was ignited at a young age as she often joined her father's performances.
She went on to form the renowned Egedege Dance Group, earning her various titles, such as Queen of Culture, Queen of the Coast, and Egedege Dance Goddess.
Theresa's career took off with the release of her debut album in 1976, and she rose to prominence in the 80s and 90s.
Her musical prowess was recognized internationally, and in 2018, she was featured in Larry Gaaga's hit song titled "Egedege", further solidifying her status as a music legend.
