DJ Maphorisa, aka Madumane aka Lawd Phori, born Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, is a renowned record producer and DJ. He's widely recognized for his contributions to the growth of Amapiano music, a sub-genre of house music that originated in South Africa. As a member of the group Uhuru, he gained popularity with hits such as "Y-tjukutja" and "Khona." DJ Maphorisa has collaborated with several local and international artists and won multiple awards. He mentors upcoming artists and has earned a place among the most influential DJs and producers in Africa.
