    Amadou Pape Fall is a Senegalese singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is known for his unique blend of African and Latin music, which he has dubbed "African salsa." In 1966, Fall began his career as a musician and singer with Dakar Rhythm. In 1972, he joined the Star Band and released four discs with the band. In 1976, he formed his band, African Salsa (later Nder de Dakar), which quickly became one of the most popular bands in Senegal. Fall and African Salsa have released over 20 albums and toured extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and the United States.

    Dan Amakye Dede, is a Ghanaian musician popularly referred to as "Iron Boy," "the highlife maestro," and "Abrantie". He started his music career in 1973 as a composer and vocalist in the Kumapim Royals band. In 1980, he formed his own band, the Apollo High Kings. He has made almost 20 albums, experimenting with different genres such as soca, calypso, lovers rock, and pop music. Some of his famous songs include "Jealousy go shame," "Dabi Dabi Ebeye Yie," "Iron Boy," and "Handkerchief."

    Orlando Julius, Born Orlando Julius Ekemode, was a Nigerian saxophonist, vocalist, bandleader, and songwriter who is widely connected to afrobeat music. With juju and konkoma bands, Julius began his career with drums and flute. He later learned the saxophone and began playing highlife music. He started his own band, The Afro Sounders, and released several albums and singles. Orlando passed away on April 14, 2022 though his contributions to the development of Afrobeat (a fusion of African and Western musical genres) remains.
