    Salam Diallo is a songwriter and singer. Hailing from Senegal, he is an artist of mbalax-fusion and tassou (Senegalese spoken song, typical Senegalese rap ). Salam Diallo started music with Omar Pène's Super Diamono as a percussionist-dancer. In 1990, he joined The Lemzo Diamono as a percussionist and singer. (a group founded in Dakar by the excellent guitarist Lamine Faye). In 2001, he started his group, Nokoss Band, of which he is the conductor and lead vocal. He tours Africa and Europe and records several cassettes, singles, and albums, including Ndokolé (2004), Je suis là (2008), Guissa Mbakh (2012), I Love You a Lot (2013), I Love You a Lot (2014), Ma Wonela (2015), Koba (Salam Diallo feat. NittDoff – 2018).

Solanke's creative prowess extended to music, literature, and advocacy for women's and children's health. Sadly, Solanke died on February 5, 2024, at the age of 81. His legacy is a testament to his dedication to African culture.
