David Poole is a South African musician recognized for his talents in tenor and soprano saxophone playing, as well as his expertise in music production, engineering, sampling, and effects. He co-founded Goldfish, a well-known electronic music duo, with Dominic Peters in 2004, where he contributes to the group's sound through his saxophone playing and production skills. Poole draws inspiration from jazz legends like John Coltrane and Miles Davis, having studied music in university and worked as a session musician and producer in the South African music industry. Besides Goldfish, Poole has collaborated with other musicians and has released solo music under the name Hugues. Poole tours and performs worldwide with Goldfish, entertaining audiences with his captivating saxophone solos and energetic performances.
