MaskiriZimbabwe |1980| ShonaAlishias Musimbe, also known by his stage name Maskiri, is a popular rapper from Zimbabwe.
He was inspired by Eminem and became known for his controversial music and self-proclaimed "Bad Boy" persona.
In 2002, Maskiri rose to fame with his hit song "Muchinda Wangu" from his debut album "Muviri Wese."
The album was well-received, featuring tracks like "Zimhamha" and "Kwedu Kuchafiwa."
He has since released several albums, including "Blue Movie," "New Me," "Recovery," "Tapinda Tapinda," and "New Look," and collaborated with other artists, such as Australia-based Zimbabwean hip-hop artist on a song titled "Nzenza."
Maskiri's "Wenera" video, which he shot with fellow artist Nox Guni, won the Top ZBC Video of The Year award at the NAMAs in 2010.
