Developing an interest in jazz at an early age, Dhafer Youssef left his home country in 1990 for Europe in other to pursue a jazz career. Over the years, Dhafer Youssef has risen to fame for his beautiful vocals and blend of Arabic and Indian musical styles with jazz.
