Dj B Boi, born Idris Babangida Usman in Jalingo, Taraba State, is a Nigerian DJ, producer, and songwriter. He is best known for blending Afrobeats and Amapiano while drawing inspiration from his northern roots. His journey into music began during his time at Federal Polytechnic Bali, where, as an Electrical and Electronic Engineering student, he started experimenting with production in 2018. By 2024, he officially debuted with MY TIME under his independent label, B BOI RECORDS. He has since released follow-up projects, including No Trips Available and Backloaded. Notable works like “Malume Suzi” and the collaborative anthem “Taraba Nah Our London” reflect his ability to fuse northern Nigerian influences with a modern global sound. Balancing rhythm with cultural authenticity, Dj B Boi is positioning himself as one of Nigeria’s promising new creative forces.
