Don Balaam, a Ugandan artist from Mbarara, shot to fame in 2010 with his Afro-fusion/Reggaeton hit “Silikyusa.” Renowned for merging African rhythms with global styles like R&B and Dancehall, he began producing music in high school before studying Music Technology in Greece.
Upon returning home, Balaam founded Home Tunes Production, which quickly became a launchpad for emerging talent in Uganda. Despite facing personal and professional hurdles over the years, he remained a consistent force in the industry, releasing standout tracks like “Lucky” and “Mbabo.”
