Earl "Chinna" Smith, is a Jamaican guitarist known for his work with the Soul Syndicate band and as Bob Marley & the Wailers. Smith developed an interest in the guitar as a teenager and made his own instrument. He played in Lee "Scratch" Perry's "The Upsetters"and launched his own record label, High Times, in 1980. He has also recorded with Lauryn Hill and Amy Winehouse. In 2022, he released a benefit album with other iconic Reggae artists and Maroon Drummers.
