Eba Aka Jérôme, whose birth name also serves as his stage name, is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and former Sanwi Star orchestra conductor. During the 1970s and 1980s, he was well-known for his melodious blend of African genres such as Soukous, highlife, and coupé-décalé. He rose to prominence after the release of his 1978 Afro-Soukous album "Trahison," which earned him a gold record. Despite the fact that his fame has waned, Eba continues to perform and sing at small events in his hometown.
