Bio

Ebanda Manfred was a highly talented Cameroonian makossa singer and composer. He rose to prominence with the release of his hit song "Amie" in 1960, which became an instant sensation and solidified his position as a household name in Cameroon. Throughout his career, Manfred continued to produce remarkable music, releasing singles such as Lolo, 45s, and 33 rpm. Manfred collaborated with several renowned singers, such as Manu Dibango, and bands like the Rhythmic Band. Beyond his success as a singer, Manfred was also a skilled composer, contributing to the evolution and popularisation of Makossa music. Tragically, Ebanda Manfred passed away on September 3, 2003, leaving behind a cherished legacy.
