Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja, widely recognized as Eedris Abdulkareem, is a notable Nigerian rapper and former member of the hip-hop group The Remedies. Known for his fearless voice and politically conscious lyrics, he rose to national prominence in the early 2000s. Though originally from the western part of Nigeria, he claims Kano State as home, attending Army Day Secondary School and later earning a mass communication degree from Bayero University. Eedris started rapping while still in school and became widely known in 1996 as The Remedies’ lead rapper. After the group's breakup in 2002, he launched a solo career with "P.A.S.S.," followed by hits like "Mr. Lecturer" and the widely controversial "Jaga Jaga" in 2004. His later albums include "Letter to Mr. President," "Nothing But The Truth," and "Emi Lokan" in 2024. In 2004, he proudly carried the Olympic torch through Africa, an unforgettable moment in his career.
