Efya, also known as Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, is a Ghanaian actress, singer, and songwriter. She is the daughter of late television personality and filmmaker Nana Adwoa Awindor, who hosted the popular program Greetings-From-Abroad. In 2008, she emerged as the first runner-up in the Stars of the Future talent show in Ghana, which marked the beginning of her music career. Efya's music style is a fusion of Afrobeat, R&B, and soul. She has released several hit singles and won numerous awards, including Best Female Vocalist at the Ghana Music Awards on four occasions. Her humanitarian efforts include supporting charities that advocate for women's and children's rights. She has collaborated with several international artists, including Sarkodie, Wizkid, and Mr. Eazi.
