Peter Akanni Akorede, known as Emperor Pick Peters, was a Nigerian juju singer, guitarist, and founder of Identity Records. In the 1970s, he gained fame for his steady hit songs and people regarded him as a prominent juju musician, alongside Sunny Ade and Dele Abiodun. He began his career in 1973 with the release of his debut album, "Kango Kango l’agogo n dun," and went on to release more than 20 albums. However, his career suffered after a contract dispute with his record label. Tragically, he passed away in 2023 following a brief illness.
