    Obo Addy is a highlife performer and songwriter from Ghana. He was well-known for his mastery of the talking drum and is credited with bringing it back to life and making it more widely used. He has released 17 albums and has received several awards, including the 1999 UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of Music. Ghana's Accra is where Addy was born. When he started playing the talking drum at age 10, he was already being called a prodigy. He eventually went on to the University of Ghana to study music, and he later went on tour with the Ghanaian National Dance Ensemble.

    Adama Dramé, born into a family of musicians, is a master percussionist from Burkina-Faso. His music career began at the age of 12 while learning closely from his father and he became an expert playing the djembe. Subsequently, he joined his father's group which made him extend his musical range to an assortment of drums. Dramé combines traditional African rhythms with modern pop and rock influences and is considered to be one of the top African singers today.

    Bruce Wassy, is a multi-talented Cameroonian artist, drummer, composer, teacher, percussionist, and saxophonist. He is also known as the "King of 6/8 Rhythm" for his rhythmic prowess. His love for music began very early and he'd lose track of time banging on pots and pans while grooving to American soul and R&B legends and went on to join school band as a child, to showcase his remarkable talent. Bruce's greatest inspirations came from American jazz fusion pioneers such as Billy Cobham, Herbie Hancock, and Tony Williams. Later in his career, he played a pivotal role in Manu Dibango's and Salif Keita's bands, leaving an indelible mark on African music.

    Emmanuel Kofi Nyame, also known as E.K. Nyame, was a prominent Ghanaian highlife musician, bandleader, composer, and skilled guitarist. His musical journey began as a drum major, leading his school life band. In 1947, he joined Appiah Agyekum's Band, gaining valuable experience. Subsequently, he established his own musical venture, E.K.'s Band, in 1949. In the same year, E.K. formed the group known as the Akan Trio, further expanding his musical footprint. Sadly, E.K. Nyame's musical career was cut short when he passed away in 1977, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of Ghanaian highlife music.
