Fally Ipupa Nsimba better known as Fally Ipupa, is a Congolese singer, songwriter, guitarist, dancer, producer, and entrepreneur whose work has reshaped modern Congolese rumba. Born in Kinshasa, he developed his musical foundation through church singing, neighborhood groups, and the orchestra Talent Latent before joining Koffi Olomidé's Quartier Latin International in 1999.
During seven years with the ensemble, he became an important vocalist, composer, and arranger. Launching his solo career in 2006, he achieved immediate success with "Droit Chemin," followed by acclaimed albums including "Arsenal de Belles Mélodies," "Power "Kosa Leka," "Tokooos," "Control," "Tokooos II," "Formule 7," and "Mayday." His music combines rumba, soukous, R&B, pop, Afrobeats, hip-hop, and urban influences while retaining Lingala as a central language. International collaborations, major concert performances, numerous awards, philanthropy, and cultural advocacy have established him as one of Africa's most influential contemporary artists worldwide.
