Femi One, whose real name is Wanjiku Kimani, is a songwriter and one of Kenya's finest and most celebrated female rapper. She won the Best Female rapper at the AFRIMA 2022 awards. Femi One's breakthrough came when she was featured in King Kaka's major hit "Ligi Soo" remix, and she was subsequently signed to his record label, Kaka Empire. She gained widespread recognition for her hit song "Utawezana," featuring Mejja, which received positive reviews and became a club banger. Femi One has released several other successful tracks in Swahili and Sheng languages, including "Pilau Njeri" and "Brikicho." In May 2021, she released her first album titled "Greatness," which features artists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia. Femi One is a brand ambassador for an energy drink.
