Bio
Ferooz, born Feruzi Mrisho Rehani in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is a singer and Bongo Flava artist who first came into the spotlight as a member of the group Daz Nundaz in the 1990s and 2000s. He gained recognition for his smooth flow, catchy hooks, and collaborations with major Tanzanian artists. His 2004 album "Safari" featured hits like Bosi with Juma Nature and Jirushe with Jay Moe, cementing his presence in the Bongo Flava scene. Tracks such as Starehe with Professor Jay remain fan favorites, celebrated for their storytelling and classic Bongo Flava sound. Ferooz also contributed to songs by other artists, including Hujambo Mwanagu with Rostam, helping spread the genre across Tanzanian radio. Though his peak years were in the 2000s, his music continues to be appreciated by fans and serves as a reference point for the evolution of Tanzanian urban music.
