Freddy De Majunga is a Malagasy guitarist and singer-songwriter who blends Malagasy salegy music with Congolese soukous.He began playing guitar at a young age and was influenced by both Malagasy and Congolese music. He moved to Paris in the early 1980s and began his professional music career. Since the beginning of his career, Freddy De Majunga has collaborated with other prominent artists, including Papa Wemba and Awilo Longomba, and has toured extensively throughout Europe and Africa. He has also released several albums, including Cool! Cool!, I Kembé, and Soudé Madiaba. His music has been revered for its infectious rhythms and catchy melodies, and he is considered one of the most important figures in the Malagasy music scene.
