Geo Bilongo is a Congolese guitarist known for blending traditional Congolese music with jazz, funk, and Latin rhythms. He began his musical journey at age 11, learning to play the guitar. In the early 1980s, he became a sought-after session artist in Paris, contributing to numerous albums. Before going solo, he played with bands like Orchestra Kara and Mokako. In the late 1980s, he co-founded the Malinga System and later initiated the Soukouss Gentlemen project in 1994 with renowned artists. His tracks, "Elephant De Kaya" and "Abilo," gained international acclaim, establishing him as one of Congo's top guitarists. Following an absence from the music scene lasting over a decade, Bilongo's fans eagerly anticipate his return to share his music once again.
