Bio
Geofrey Lutaaya is a Ugandan singer-songwriter and politician whose multifaceted career spans over two decades in the entertainment and public sectors. A founding member of the influential Eagles Production Band, Lutaaya rose to prominence in the late 1990s with his heartfelt love ballads and distinctive voice, primarily performing in Luganda. His emotive storytelling and vocal delivery endeared him to fans across Uganda and the diaspora, producing hits like "Nayomba," "Kibooko," "Nali Ninda," and "Nkwagalira Ddala." In 2009, he co-founded De Nu Eagles Band with his wife, fellow musician Irene Namatovu, further solidifying their status as a power couple in Uganda’s music industry. Today, he continues to balance his music career with youth mentorship and legislative responsibilities, remaining an influential figure in Uganda’s cultural and political landscape.
