Hamawudz, born Edhaaya Haman Herman, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter whose music draws from R&B, Afro-pop, gospel, and traditional Ugandan folk. Active since 2014, he is known for songs about love, hope, and everyday life, expressed with a smooth style and warm, memorable tunes. His works include Amberelawo, Precious Egg, Muna, Pick Up the Phone, Kirooto, and Oli Muwanguzi. Hamawudz studied Adult and Community Education at Makerere University and attended Jinja Progressive Academy, a background that reflects his interest in helping people and understanding their experiences—something that shapes his songwriting.
