Hamisu Breaker, born Hamisu Sa’id Yusuf, is a renowned Hausa singer and songwriter from Nigeria. He discovered his passion for music during his secondary school days, and he has since released numerous songs before finally dropping his debut album. Hamisu's popularity extends far and wide in the commercial city of Kano, where his name is on the lips of everyone, young and old. He sings exclusively in Hausa, and his songs have gained immense acceptance among the Hausa-speaking youths. In 2020, his song "Jaruma" became the most-watched Hausa song on YouTube, setting a record in the history of Hausa music. One of his songs, "Karshen Kauna," hit a million views in less than two months after its release and now boasts over 3.3 million views.
