Goddy Chukwuemeka Mbamalu Ezikeakukwu, better known as Prof Goddy Ezike or Khaki No Be Leather, was a renowned Nigerian highlife musician. His musical journey began at a young age when he was introduced to traditional Igbo Egwu Ekpili by his father, Humphery Ezike, and they began performing together. In the 1970s, he founded the Ambassador Majiji, later renamed the Black Brothers Band, and Prof. Goddy Ezike and His International Band of Africa. He was associated with the record label C. Meks Music Int'l Ltd and released several songs, including the well-known "Khaki No Be Leather" and his album "Ekwensu Ejego Late". Sadly, he passed away in 2019.

Dennis East was a musical pioneer and producer from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. His musical career began in the late 1960s, and he performed with The Rising Sons in the 1970s. He engraved his rhythms into the spirit of South Africa by co-founding the rock band Stingray with fellow South African virtuosos in 1979. Aside from composition, he embellished records for local artists including British saxophonist Andrew Young. Through Pump Up The Volume, CocaCola Pop Stars, and Popstars 2010, his presence lit up television screens. Dennis East's melody died in September 2022, at the age of 73, but his sound legacy lives on in South Africa's musical tale.

António Paulino Domingos, known by his music name António Paulino, is a legendary Angolan composer and musician. His music was a fusion of traditional Angolan rhythms with elements of jazz and rock, making it a unique and distinct sound. Paulino began his music career in 1971 and was a member of several popular music groups before becoming a solo artist. He produced many albums and singles, but his most notable single was "Gi Henda dia Mamã" (meaning: I Miss My Mother) in 1973, which expressed his grief and sorrow over the sudden loss of his mother. In March 2014 she joined Courtney Pine’s Venus Warriors, an all-female group; in the same year she formed the CGQ (Camilla George Quartet) showcasing some of London’s finest young players. After successfully releasing their EP, Lunacity in 2014, Camilla signed to Ubuntu Music in January 2017 and released her debut album, ‘Isang’ to wide critical acclaim.
