Bio
Harriet Sanyu (also credited as Sanyu Harriet or Nantumbwe Sanyu Harriet) is a leading voice in Uganda’s Kadongo Kamu, a narrative-rich genre traditionally centered on a single guitar. She carved her path through radio at UBC and Galaxy FM, later moving to BBS Terefayina before transitioning smoothly into music. Notable tracks like "Enkuma Ya Makka," "Ebinusu," and "Manyira Balala" showcase her deep, expressive vocals and storytelling. A respected collaborator alongside Kadongo Kamu greats, such as Lord Fred Ssebata, Harriet’s status grew through shared stages and recordings.
